Who to shoot first. I speak metaphorically, of course, but did I remember the old Finder behavior from Classic, the shortcut that gave a dynamic Get Info window, one which totals sizes as you go, stays open, and otherwise supplies all the little functions I have been so annoyed at the loss of for years now? Years of my only existence on this planet?  Nooo. And have learned of this key command by stumbling across, literally stumbling, a new comment to an old Mac OS X Hint, that this has always available in OS X, a lowly factlet which will now transform my computing life? Like clockwork, the Apple tablet rumor blossoms again, from Gizmodo to Fortune to CNET and back. Tis spring, everyone else shows off their little netbooks, and we Macusers, saplings just as likely to bend as anybody else, say, I want one! I want one!

Especially this year, the catchy name: netbook.
