Honey, I don’t think that’s the question at all. I think you’ve got it backwards.
The real question is, How Fucking Dumb is Alan Greenspan? Ke-rist. If I had known all these years that the head of the Federal Reserve was smarmy in love with Ayn Rand—I mean, what does it take to disqualify someone—don’t you just hate the bureaucracy? Fools appointing fools, and into these forever jobs. Perhaps the election of President Obama heralds the breaking up of the Old Sod’s Network, in a meaningful way. Anything not business-as-usual. Anything okay with the Under-Forties is A-okay with me.
I don’t know what usually happens to cloud up the skull, to turn the clear sight of youth into the Buffoonery We Have Known and Loathed, but here’s our chance. I do not want to hear one word against Obama by disappointed Lefties, Independents, or members of MoveOn. The chance is here to see and participate in something new. Whatever ways in which Obama goes along with existing policy, give it time! I mean, you think he suddenly stopped being meticulous? Stopped planning and thinking? Two precious aspects of intellect we haven’t seen in a leader in many a moon.
But back to Alan. Old men are fools for their dicks. You know that. I am furious. I could wring his scrawny little chicken neck. Ayn fucking Rand. Logical Positivism. I am positive Alan Greenspan is a fool.
